We picked up the keys last Friday and went thought the house with our site manager Allen who is fantastic even gave us a ill present from elderton! We had everything installed the day of hand over oven, dishwasher, hot water. we told them a week before we wanted everything done the day of hand over and it was done. Do you believe there was no hidden chargers we even got a refund on the PA for peering that was a great surprise. We have been unpacking for a little over a week now and finally we are finished, the boxes just kept on coming. we are looking at getting a skip to chuck all the junk rubbish and things dont suit the new house as its different color scheme. We had Harvey Norman deliver the new white leather lounge yesterday and have to wait another 3-4 weeks for the other lounge as it wasn't in stock. We have been living with rubbish bags as curtains, accent blinds are coming this Friday to put in shutters at the front and blinds elsewhere. The hubby has been busy putting brand new beds together for the kids last night it was a bunk for our son and the night before was a carriage bed for our daughter something so simple can take hours to put together. We are still waiting on he quote from the fencer. we are going o pull one side down and use sleepers underneath, if we try leveling our yard as is the fence will just fall down. So landscaping has been put on hold. Next is to find a cheap election to put in our own light fittings and front bunkers.

Went by the site today to see the man about the driveway we had it cut to look like big pavers it looks great we were going to go stenciled but after debating and talking to the concreter the cut out driveways are the newer modern thing to do so we choose diamond cuts and are very happy, while we were there the house cleaner was there cleaning the place I must be a fussy cleaner as after he had finished there were spots he missed I wanted to clean myself but I will wait till hand over there will be plenty of time for cleaning moving unpacking its going to be a very busy summer not to mention we are doing the landscaping ourselves. The last few things to do are moving very slow I think they are waiting on a tiling job to finish than they will start I'm guessing this will be next week not sure about mirror robes but carpet will go in after main floor tiles than house complete. We rang opticom today and it's going to take about a week to get things turned on from there end so it's a good idea not to leave it to the last minute.

Today they started the driveway we met Fred on site the concreter as we do most trades as its the only way you get things the way you want and there always happy to help and give you there advice. we changed from gunmetal to charcoal as its darker and matchers the bricks better. we also straightened the edging of the driveway up so now theres more driveway and doesnt go on any angles. Part of the fence was finished and inside the house bath, toilets, taps, towel rails, were installed along with the WRONG door handles as soon as i seen them i knew they wernt what we picked they look so ugly! so i rang Richard and he will fix it up.
