INSULATION DONE GYPROCK DELIVERED MEET WITH ALLEN

Meet with Allen today the site supervisor and what a man with building knowlegde he was very helpful and we are very pleased we got to meet him nothing was a drama and he had an answer to every question. Gyprock was delivered and insulation was installed. Gyprock will be starting tomorrow.

AIR CON INSTALLED

Happy days with Elderton another fine day and workers on site. Spoke to tile direct today and they gave us a start date of 14th July for tiling thats only two weeks away so we are very impressed with how quick they are going to get to that stage.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLED

Great sunny day and workers on site what more can i ask for.. The electrical was done today and word is the gyprock is due to be delivered Friday. We also have our onsite meeting with the supervisor on Friday.

 The electrican marked all the floors where the lights will be going above, this one will have to be moved as it sits over the dining table and seeing the floor space now you get abetter idea of where the lights should be.

RAIN TODAY

Its Tuesday and it's raining no one has been on site since last Thursday and apart from today the weather has been perfect. We contacted elderton yesterday to arrange a time with the site supervisor and we haven't heard back from our email yet..

MOVING SO SLOW

Not happy with elderton once again things are moving so slow, talked to a few people building in Jordan springs and they say the same thing not to mention the quality isn't the best we are not happy with the brickwork. Apart from elderton having days off the weather has been great. I wonder if anyone will be there this week?.

The eves were done today! we are liking how elderton have picked up the pace considering there was a week were nothing was done and it can be frustrating and the weather isn't to blame the weather has been great not a rainy day all week. The roof tiles still have not arrived it must of been annoying being a few short we hope it doesnt rain as water will get traped under the tiles and we don't want any part of the frame wet no to mention going in and sitting on the eves. Not only was the eves done today the cladding at the front was done. This will be stained to a timber look finish.I'm guessing next job will be electrical.

ROOF TILES ON

Another sunny day and the roof tiles are on doesn't look like they have finished the job as there's about 10 tiles missing they might have come up short lets see what happens tomorrow weather they have to wait for another delivery or not..

BRICKS CLEANED

Another sunny day and the bricks have been cleaned today so its a good start to the week being Monday and the weather channel states it will be sunny till thursday couldn't be happier..

ROOF TILES DELIVERED

What a perfect day for building a house today clear sky's no wind nice and sunny our roof tiles were delivered today but no workers on site, it's expected to rain tomorrow going by the weather channel so that's not good news.. Hopefully the rain holds off as we can't wait to get the roof on its been very slow and we are sure there have been delays as the bricks are still not cleaned. If the roof is on the frame won't get wet anymore as it is not treated wood.

ROOF SCAFFOLDING

Today it was a nice sunny day the bricks still have not been cleaned not sure what the hold up its been almost 2weeks but the roof scaffolding was done we are hoping tomorrow the roof tiles will be delivered not sure why there not already on site ready to go.

GUTTERS AND FACCIA

Monday was the queens birthday which meant public holiday u seem to hate them when your building a house than Tuesday it rained but today clear sky's than light Arvo rain but great news the gutters and faccia have been finished! They look great very happy with the colors couldn't of picked a better match to the bricks. Next step brick cleaning and roof tiles.

WAITING AND WAITING

Today is Friday no one has been on site since Monday when the brick work was finished it only rained on Wednesday so we are a little disappointed with how slowly things moved this week not to mention Monday is a public holiday so hopefully things will move quicker next week. I contacted elderton with a response of they have to let the mortar dry before they can clean the bricks, so once the bricks are cleaned they than start on the roof.

HE ASKED FOR TAPE I GOT A RING

Thursday 31st may we went looking at the house to my surprise he asked me to pass him measuring tape when it was an engagement ring to not only build a home but sentimental memories on this little patch of dirt is great.
